(My Lesson For Today: Judges 6:16, Judges 7:2, 2 Cor 12:9)
Weakness positions you for strength. #Bee3Thoughts
That’s a true statement. Unless you are weak, you do not need strength.
Through the Bible, when God called people into divine assignments, their first response to God is “I CAN’T” do it. Interestingly, God never addresses that issue, but rather reminds them of the source of their qualification saying “I will BE with you.” Period. He doesn’t discuss the list of “disqualifications they place before him. Moses said “I cannot speak.” Gideon “I am the least of my family, in the smallest tribe, in the least family of this tribe..”.
God’s response EACH time for me shows that “Yes, I am aware of your weaknesses, but I CHOOSE you, and I QUALIFY you.” And when we forget that, we often get back into self-qualification.
In Judges 7:2, God says to Gideon “2 And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’
God is saying “Gideon, you are too qualified for me to give you victory. Scale down.” What a statement!
Never try to “match” the strength of your enemies. Don’t allow the might of numbers, your degrees, your gifting, your promotion, salary etc to ever replace your qualification: GOD!
With Him, we have everything. Outside of Him, even our best qualifications become dis-qualifiers to His type of victory.
Enjoy Heroes day. Remember WHO qualifies you and keep Him close.
2 Corinthians 12:9
9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
