But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12, KJV)
Is Jesus really Lord of your life? That’s a question we should constantly ask ourselves as believers. How valuable is your relationship with Him?
Someone came up with 4 brilliant ways to find out what is most valuable to you – he calls them the FOUR Cs: Cash, Calendar, Conversation, Contemplation.
Today, we will talk about Calendar which we can also call Time. They say love is spelt T.I.M.E.
Whatever relationship you give most of your time is really the most valuable to you.
Now please note that working for your boss doesn’t necessarily mean you value them: you may value the benefits but not the boss. That’s why I say RELATIONSHIP. Working for God doesn’t mean I value my relationship with Him, and that verse says God gave us power to be Sons not Servants 😊.
Just because my husband is a hardworking provider doesn’t mean he values his relationship with me: I WANT TIME… Intimacy happens in private, not at the office or at church.
So, Jesus WANTS your heart not your hand. He must be enough, beyond the applause of men, the accolades… After all He calls us Sons, Friends and co-heirs not servants and workers. God desires relationship above service.
So, how much time do you have set aside for RELATIONSHIP and intimacy with God this year? Remember Love is spelt T.I.M.E!
If you don’t mind, share some of your thoughts on the ways we can develop relationship and intimacy with God… 😊
