My Meditation (Proverbs 18:1)
As someone involved in church leadership, I have noticed a not so healthy trend: when people are going through difficult times or shameful moments, they ISOLATE themselves. They hide. When people disappear from fellowship, a red light goes off.
The one thing God called NOT GOOD in the whole creation story was “for a man to be alone.”
We were created for fellowship: Each time the enemy wants to steal from us or kill a dream, he will draw us out of fellowship, feed us on the bitter meal of shame and guilt….
Friends, we were never meant to flourish as “lone walkers”. Find a person and talk to them… And if you know someone who has simply gone MIA look out for them and love them relentlessly.
A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment. (NKJV)
