My Meditation Psalm 118:24
Do you sometimes feel like celebrations are a waste of time? I don’t know why we do it, but we generally find it hard to celebrate unless is something out of the ordinary.
However, even God stopped and celebrated at every point of creation. He declared over it “it is very good”. Yet for some reason, we find it easier to either celebrate others, or wait for something out of the ordinary to stop and celebrate.
My pastor often says “we don’t choose when to mourn but we can choose WHEN to celebrate”.
This year, I have been more intentional about celebrating every victory but I’m still way off the mark. I still find it easier to dwell on the bad stuff… The deception is that “we will celebrate in future.” But the goals keep shifting. When we get to where we desire, we want more, and suddenly what we have is not enough.
What I’m saying? CELEBRATE EVERY VICTORY. Every birthday. Every anniversary. Every achievement. Make a big deal. Stop and recognize the good. You will be more happy and more satisfied I promise ☺️.
Have a great weekend and celebrate every victory.
This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. (NKJV)
