Our Meditation Romans 8:31-32
In Uganda, before a thief is caught, there is usually a dramatic chase, with lots of shouting; “Omubbi wuyo!” as the able bodied are in pursuit until the thief is caught
As believers, we have been warned about a thief: he is called satan/ the devil. The thing is, he has no power whatsoever but he still uses his old rusty weapon: LIES! DECEIT! And he shows up with evidence every single day, against the promises of God. But BEWARE my dear friends! Watch out especially for your thoughts and feelings to make sure they are in line with God’s promises and not against them!
KNOW that there is NOTHING God can withhold from us in Christ. NOTHING! The proof is in the blood of Jesus – What more proof would we need really? If it is withheld, and it is in the promises, it is NOT God withholding. It’s either the thief convincing us that it is withheld, or our receiver is not working, maybe because we do not even KNOW the promise of God in that area. Go withholds NO GOOD thing from us. NOTHING.
So, today, mind your mind and what it is telling you, especially after you receive a report contrary to what God’s promises declare. Shout “Omubbi” / “thief!” and chase the thief. The only power he has is what we give him.
Whatever the situation today, be on the offensive. Find the promise of God in that area, use your words, focus your mind, reject every report against God’s promises and chase the thief!!!!!!!!!!!!
God’s promises are not for a season, but they are FOREVER – Obadz
31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? NLT
